How to Thrive with Health And Fitness This Christmas Period

Here is a guide on how to thrive with your health and fitness this Christmas period. Let’s all look at this concept: Words matter.

This is because words shape our perceptions. Perceptions shape our intentions and Intentions shape just about everything we do in life.

In December each year, I often think about people looking to survive the Christmas Holidays in a health and fitness sense. We hear and read about this often: How to survive Christmas parties, family gatherings and a busy season filled with events and festivities.

These health survival guides are usually aimed at what we should eat and drink over the holiday season (or not eat!).

Leaving aside the peculiar notion of survival as nutritional deprivation, this strikes me as a pretty rough way to treat yourself.  What are we surviving? This is life, not a post-apocalyptic warzone.

What if we looked at this from the other direction? We want to Thrive in the Christmas Period.

We can thrive by:

Eating delicious food that makes you feel full and warm.

Doing awesome workouts powered by that great food.

Thrive through a long winter’s nap after a delicious meal or night out.

Let’s flip this and look to Thrive, do the things we love to do; being with friends and family, eating well, moving with abandon and resting at the right times.
